Who are we?

At Base2Code, our instructors are experienced coders with an extensive background working with children. Most importantly, everyone on the B2C team is devoted to creating a friendly environment to ensure that your child will succeed.

Founder, Director, and Instructor

Justin Chen

Justin is the Founder, Director, and Instructor of Base2Code. He is a junior earning an engineering certificate and a leader of the Science Olympiad Team at Newton North High School in Massachusetts. He has been coding since he was 6 years old and is passionate about teaching kids how to code. He also plays violin for the New England Conservatory Youth Repertory Orchestra and swims on the Newton North Varsity Swim Team which went undefeated this season.

Co-Director and Instructor

Max Larson

Max is the Co-Director and an Instructor at Base2Code. Currently a junior at Lake Forest Academy in Illinois, he is on the Varsity Soccer and Hockey teams. Max has been coding since 7th Grade and has already earned an AP Computer Science credit. Already a certified tutor at Schoolhouse.org, he is passionate about helping students build strong coding fundamentals.
